Contest Rules (Please Read)

Please check the size of your photo.
NO posting of huge images, please resize and check the image before posting.
We don't want to break the forum by posting over-sized images.

No pornographic materials, let's try to keep it tasteful.

We have a team of 6 judges. We will be judging on originality.
The image may be sweet, touching, humorous, gross, etc. (for the best overall.)
The funniest photo, well, that is self explanatory.
Whatever you think will win our attention. We all
have a wonderful sense of humor, some more bizarre than others, but all
the same and we all have different but similar taste (figure that one out).

Once the contest thread is opened you are to post in that thread only.
Please do not start your own topic to post your image in.
If you have a question, ask it in this thread here.

ETA: This thread is locked until the contest starts. The contest will start on Monday March 5, 2007 and run until Friday March 23rd Midnight EST. At which time the threads will be locked. The winner will be chosen and announced at noon on March the 25th.

There will be two (2) contests.
All photos must be an original photo and not something taken from the web.
One contest will be for the funniest photo.
One contest will be for the best overall photo.
You may enter both contests but you may not submit the same photo.
Please check your photo for sizing by previewing post before posting to
make sure that you do not break the forum.

The winners will receive for each category:
$10 prize paid via PayPal
1000 rotating banner impressions at one of the four sites (your choice).

A topic will be started for each contest and the photos are to be placed in the respective threads.

You have until Monday...now drag out that digital camera or photo album and start clicking!

I'm new at forums.

I have some photos for the contest, but I don't know how to post them.

Hello Snowbird and Welcome to the forum.
I will try to explain to you the best that I can how. I use Imageshck to host my images, you may have your own host or server, I have no idea. If you are using a free server such as image shack or photo bucket.
http://imageshack.us/ no need to register here, unless you want to.
Hit browse
choose the photo from a file on your computer
Hit Host it!
I normally take the last link without any tags, it will look similar to this:
http://img54.imageshack.us/imgYOURIMAGECODEHERE.gif

Come here and hit the button that says
IMG a tag will appear [img].........place the last link that you just hosted at
the image site then hit the IMG Button again, this will appear aferwards [/img]

Hit the preview button at the bottom to see how large and if your photo appears.

Make sure it is not too large, the site will tell you the size, I am thinking
over 300 pixels I am not sure, if it is too large, it will spread too far across the forum and break the frame.

If you still have problems posting the image, post where you want the photo and then PM me, you can then email me the photo's and I will post them for you. I will resize the photos for you if you need that done also and send them back to you if they are too large.

No, I am sorry but this contest is for images/photos only. We are having more contest coming up that you may be able to enter by writing a little story. The contest is now closed and we will be choosing a winner. Maybe the next contest more will join in.
